Welcome to Kismet. We are an active stray dog roleplay. We are literate here, and we require all in character post to be at least 200 words in length. Our site is rated PG-13. We are nice, fun, and friendly.
This site takes place in present time, in the town of Kismet and the neighboring and bordering areas.
11.17.2009; New boards have been added. Advertising and Recruiting contest is taking place now. Please see the contest and awards board for more information. When we have at least eleven active members (not including staff) I will begin looking for another moderator to help out with the site. As well as an advertiser. I will also be holding auditions to who will run the trinket shop, but I think I already know who I am going to ask. Also, there will be polls taking place within the next week or so about the site and some changes that may be coming. <3 Be sure to vote!

The Trinket Shop (1 sub-board) This is the Trinket Shop. Please note Trinkets are the things that you earn in contest and while you post. The Oxford Breeding Facility The Oxford Breeding Facility lays in the outskirts of Kismet. Even though it calls itself a breeding facility all it really is a puppy mill. The Adoption Agency This is the Adoption Agency. Inside there is the Rescue Center, where abandoned dogs can be adopted out to new owners, and there is also the Animal Shelter, where the owners of dogs that they no longer wish to roleplay can drop the dogs off to be adopted by someone else. The Unclaimable
The Train Yard This is the city train yard. It connects the city to a few of the surrounding cities. While it is hardly ever used to transport humans anymore because of cars and what not, it is still used to transport some materials. The people who work here usually don't mind the strays hanging around, just...watch out for oncoming trains. Moderators: [ ADMIN ], Donkey

Silver Comet Trail This is a trail that goes all the way around the city. Humans love to walk or ride their bikes on it. Some people even walk their house pets. Motorized vehicles are not allowed on the trail. There is plently of shade, sunshine, and rivers around this trail. Moderators: [ ADMIN ], Donkey

The Old Kingdom (4 sub-boards) This where the old castle that used to rule over the area. There moat that goes around it is still full of water, and there are fishes in it. There is a bridge that leads over it, and thought the castle is barely standing now, there are plenty of ways into it. The best part about the castle is also the most stable. It is an underground dungeon where a lot of bad things can happen. Don’t forget to check out the garden as well, there seems to be always something blooming there. Moderators: [ ADMIN ], Donkey

Mystic Meadow This is a large open space for the dogs to come and play. During the summer and spring it is usually filled with multi-colored flowers and during the fall it is normally cover in flowers. Plus… during the winter, it is normally covered in a thick blanket of snow. It is a wide open space. Moderators: [ ADMIN ], Donkey

White Oak Even though this is an old playground, the people of today still use it. There is alot of things here: a swing, a slide, and bunch of other toys and things for little kids to play with. There is a fountain in the middle of it and there are picnic tables to the right of the park. The park got it's name due to some of the beautiful oaks in the area. Moderators: [ ADMIN ], Donkey

Animal Control This is much like the pound, only there are both cats and dogs here (in different cages of course). Animal control patrols around the city, the town, and the town/city outskirts. Moderators: [ ADMIN ], Donkey

Other Freelands
Honom Mountain Range This is the mountain range, there are ways up to the top for both humans and animals. Some humans like to hunt up here and there are a few places around that offer human food, caves, other forms of shelter, prey and water. The place is truly amazing. Moderator: [ ADMIN ]

Dante's Paradise Paradise is a small area that lies way up in the mountains. The scenery in paradise is stunningly and amazingly beautiful. The mountain air is crisp and refreshing. Moderator: [ ADMIN ]

Douglasville (9 sub-boards) This is an area that is surrounded mostly by woods and forest areas. There are a few fast food places here, and there is one big restaurant. The houses here are set far apart and there is a lot of land around here. There a few areas that the humans won’t build on so that it is mainly for wildlife and scenery. Moderator: [ ADMIN ]

Mohili Falls This is one of the three areas that are left alone by human kind, at least they don’t build here, but they do visit it frequently. Then again, who could blame them? The area is amazingly beautiful. The water seems to be blue in the river as well as the waterfall, and the grass and plants around it are amazing, though some of the plants were planted by humans.

Misty Meadows Another area that humans will not build on for the sake of wild life. This area got it’s name because at night and early morning, the area is covered in mist. It is kind of creepy seeing as with the mist there is usually fog. Moderator: [ ADMIN ]

Comfort (9 sub-boards) This is a smaller area, that does provide some shelter for the canines. There is an animal shelter here though, so be careful as you roam the streets. The humans here okay, though they seemed to be a little to obsessed with owning dogs as pets…. Moderator: [ ADMIN ]

Kimbala (14 sub-boards) This is the biggest of the four new cities, and the only one with a working school. Though the humans don’t mind have the dogs around, they do not entirely love the idea. They usually just ignore them or call the Comfort Animal Control after them. Moderator: [ ADMIN ]

Sunnydale
The Library This is the city library. Everything is always calm and quiet in here. Stray canines could sneak around in here as long as you can remain unseen by the book keepers and other people who work here. Moderator: [ ADMIN ]

Fox Trot (5 sub-boards) This is the main neighborhood that the humans reside in. Every house has a limit on the amount of dogs it can hold, and every human acts different. Be careful when venturing in here, you can never tell if you can make it out or not. Moderator: [ ADMIN ]
